Our Belper

Alfreton has its own railway station situated around a mile outside Alfreton town centre on Mansfield Road, he station is on the Erewash Valley Line 18+1⁄4 miles (29 km) north of Nottingham. There are generally trains every hour running north to Chesterfield, Sheffield & Leeds and south to Langley Mill & Nottingham. A limited number of London services run via the Erewash Valley Line and stop at Alfreton. At other times Interchange with London services can be made at Nottingham and Chesterfield. Alfreton Train Station has a ticket office and waiting room as well as an external ticket machine, there are two platforms with a bridge to cross over between platforms.
